About the 2012 Festival
The Golden Key Music Festival of Vienna combines a unique artistic and educational experience for young musicians with an exciting family vacation. Sponsored by the American Concert Alliance with the assistance of the Boesendorfer Klavierfabrik, the Prayner Conservatory, and the Haus der Musik, the Festival has attracted instrumentalists and vocalists from all over the world, including the United States, China, Russia, and the European Union. Now in its fifth year, the Golden Key Music Festival has become an integral part of the cultural life of Vienna, one of the the great music capitals of the world.
Based on a live or recorded audition, selected partipants will
- Perform at luxurious Vienna concert halls
- Attend Master Classes given by notable European music teachers
- Visit selected art and music museums
- Attend recitals of festival guest artists
- Tour historic sites of Vienna, Eisenstadt, and Salzburg

There are also opportunities for the teachers of Festival participants to perform at the Bösendorfer Saal at Mozarthaus Vienna (Domgasse 5).
Age Categories
The festival is open to instrumentalists and vocalists ages 5 through 26 (solo and ensembles). Musicians under 14, however, must be accompanied by a parent.
