Each year the Golden Key Music Festival of Vienna includes a rich variety of musical, artistic, and cultural experiences in addition to its concerts and awards ceremonies. The combination of great music, beautiful historic surroundings, and the company of people who share a dedication to music makes for an unique and unforgettable time.

Monday, August 3 – Explore Old Vienna
Morning: Arrive at IBIS WIEN HAUPTBAHNHOF. This comfortable hotel is built in July 2017. Its address is Canettistrasse 8, 1100 Wien. All rooms are air-conditioned. Hot breakfast is included.
Afternoon 5:00 PM: Take a guided walking tour through the central part of the Old City, including Stephansplatz, Mozarthaus, St. Michael’s Church, the Hofburg Palace, the Mozart Memorial, and the Vienna State Opera House.

Tuesday, August 4 – “Welcome to Vienna” Concerts
Morning 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Practice at the distinguished Prayner Conservatory, Muhlgasse 28-30.
Afternoon 3:00 PM: Attend the Festival’s Gala- Concert featuring our winners and guest-artists follow by Award Ceremony at the famous Ehrbar Hall (Muhlgasse 28) and reception

Wednesday, August 5 – Explore the Music of Today
Morning 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Take Master Classes with Professors Eugenie Russo, Sung Suk Kang, Stephan Möller and others at the Prayner Conservatory.
Afternoon 3:00 PM: Visit the Haus der Musik, the world’s largest interactive music discovery museum.
Evening 6:30 PM: Attend the World Composers’ Concert at Ehrbar Hall followed by the composers’ Award Ceremony. Guest-artists include young musicians from all over the world, winners of the Golden Key Music Festival Piano Composition Competition, 2020.

Thursday, August 6 – Mozart and Salzburg

Morning 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: Take a bus trip to Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace. Enjoy the views of the alpine landscape and crystalline mountain lakes on the way.Vienna 156
Once in Salzburg, visit famous Music University Mozarteum; take a guided walking tour through the Old Town, marketplace, local cathedrals, and memorials to Mozart, Michael Haydn, Herbert von Karajan, and other prominent artists.
Visit Salzburg sites made famous in the movie, The Sound of Music.

Friday, August 7 – Haydn on Eisenstadt10634086_1464151820531586_3198994442749886697_o

Day 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Take a bus trip to Eisenstadt, picturesque old town at the foot of the Austrian Low Alps, the home town of Josef Haydn for almost 32 years. Visit Esterhazy Palace with its famous Haydn Hall and Haydn Holographic Museum. Enjoy a walking tour of the medieval streets, marketplace, parks, and other sites which would have been frequented by Haydn.
Afternoon: 3:30 PM: We invite you to Ehrbar Hall to the concert dedicated to J. Haydn featured the Festival’s guest-artist.

Evening: 8:00 PM: You are welcome to the concert featured worldwide known pianist Karine Pogosyan at Ehrbaar Hall.

Saturday, August 8 – Mozart and Vienna1781383_1413750858905016_5142045315941250581_o

Morning 10:00 AM: Take a guided tour of the Mozarthaus Vienna (Domgasse 5), the best known of the places where Mozart lived and worked.                       Morning 11:30 AM: Attend a concert “Mozart welcomes the Golden Key Festival winners at His house* given by Festival’s winners and guest-artists at the Bösendorfer Hall at Mozarthaus.

Evening 6:30 PM: Take a guided walking tour of some of the oldest surviving streets in Vienna. We recommend you to attend the Organ music recital at St. Michael Church at 8:00 PM. The Baroque Time music will be performed on Sieber organ built in 1714. It’s a biggest Baroque time organ in Vienna. Josef Haydn performed on it. First performance of Mozart’s Requiem took place here in 1792.

Sunday, August 9 – Tales of Vienna Woods: Beethoven’s BadenBaden
Day 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Take the guided bus tour to a beautiful resort Baden and attend one of the world best Beethoven’s museums located in the house where Beethoven composed his famous Ninth Symphony.
Afternoon: 15:30 PM: Ehrbar Hall. Welcome to the concert dedicated to L. van Beethoven featuring prominent pianist Stephan Moeller.

Monday, August 10 – Departure
Last Day: Depart for home or other destinations. Auf Wiedersehen!
