Since its inception in 2002, the Golden Key Music Festival of the United States has established itself as a major cultural event that attracts young instrumentalists and vocalists from across the United States and other countries. Its mission is to give young musicians the opportunity to display their talents on some of the most prestigious concert stages in the United States, to unlock for them the door into the magic world of art—a realm where almost everyone who steps on the stage is gratified with an incomparable feeling of self-affirmation.
The applicants for the 2012 festival will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges in seven age categories:

Based on their audition, applicants will go on to perform at one of several festival recital locations, including in 2012:

NOTE: the exact recital time on appointed dates will be announced to all winners on March 5, 2012 via regular mail.
The recital tickets for Bronze and Achievement level winners will be mailed to the teachers and independent entrants on April 16, 2012. Carnegie Hall winners will pick up tickets at Carnegie Hall Box Office one hour before the recital.
