About the Festival
In cooperation with the Conservatori Municipal de Música (Barcelona, Spain) and Norwegian Cruise Lines, Inc., the Golden Key Music Festival is proud to announce a first-ever Mediterranean Festival from July 5—15, 2012. The Festival provides a unique opportunity for young pianists to meet and perform with similarly dedicated young people from around the World, and includes:
- Gala concert in Barcelona
- Master classes with piano maestro Carlos Juliá
- Three days of sight-seeing in Barcelona
- A cruise of the Mediterranean on the luxurious Norwegian Epic Cruise Liner including shipboard performances by American, Russian, Spanish, Italian, and French artists
- Visits to cultural and historical landmarks in Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples, Nice, and Provence/Marseille
- Award Ceremony at the end of the cruise where Festival winners will receive special Diplomas, medals, and other gifts
There are also opportunities for Festival participants and the teachers and parents of Festival participants to perform at additional times and venues.
Age Requirements
The Festival is open to young pianists ages 5 — 25. Children under 14, however, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
