Marcella
Crudeli Master Class 2008 at Steinway
Dear Fellow Piano
Teaching Colleagues:
I am delighted to have been asked by the Golden Key Festival to
offer an opportunity for qualified students to meet and play for
the highly esteemed and imaginative pianist, Madame Marcella
Crudeli. We therefore make invitation to your advanced piano
students to apply for audition in a masterclass format with Ms.
Crudeli taking place at Steinway Hall (Henry Z. Steinway Room)
109 West 57th Street, New York, NY on Sunday, May 4th from 11:00
am-3:00 pm. Considered one of the most distinguished Italian
pianists of her generation, Ms. Crudeli will be performing also
at Steinway on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30 pm. It is our honor
that she has graciously offered to make herself available to
hear a select group of three to four piano students at an
advanced level. Because of the limited number of master class
slots available, we are advertising this event only to a limited
population of potential piano studios such as yours.
Since
participation is aimed in the context of a masterclass
environment, acceptance is based on factors such as repertory,
level, technical achievement and expressive range. Repertory
presented should include 2-3 major works from Baroque,
Classical, Romantic and/or Contemporary, with a total timed
range minimum of 10 minutes of music from memory.
Audition tapes
must be submitted in DVD/VCR video formats (other formats will
not be accepted). 3-4 winners will be selected by judges along
with runner-up candidates for the 2008 Marcella Crudeli
Masterclass.
We offer a
special Certificate of Attendance to all students participating
and a Certificate of Excellence signed by Ms. Crudeli and the
judging auditor(s) for those students chosen to perform for Ms.
Crudeli. Decisions by judges are considered final.
A $50
non-refundable fee is required for applicants and needs to be
POSTMARKED by April 1st, 2008 with checks made payable to
"American Concert Alliance". Please address to: American
Concert Alliance c/o Thomas Osuga, 160 Claremont Avenue, #2B,
New York, NY 10027-4638. We look forward to having your
students participate in this unusual opportunity to meet with a
legendary and most humane artist.
With all due
respect,
Thomas Osuga
